The Brick Journal is a collaborative publication devoted to the visual language, social and geologic histories, and cultural production that stem from and connect to brickmaking and brick work.
Alexis Iammarino’s guest curatorial project A Common Bond: The Brick Journal, the inaugural contemporary exhibition on view at the Maine Museum of Innovation, Labor, and Learning (Maine MILL) newly opened location in Lewiston, was featured in the Boston Art Review’s summer roundup, Beyond Boston.
Published in 2018, Hole History Show is a collection of art, performance and writing that responded to a claim that the hole-in-the-donut was singularly invented by a 19th-century sea captain from Rockport, Maine.
First installed in 2016 at Asymmetrick Arts and Win Wilder Hall in Rockland and subsequently presented by the Portland Public Library (2022) and SPACE Gallery (2023).
Interloc is a multidisciplinary art space in Thomaston, Maine that provides access to contemporary artists through exhibition, performance, and publications.
Since 2017, Alexis Iammarino and Maeve O’Regan have hosted over 60 exhibitions and programs at Interloc.
